About

The outcomes of Niamh’s practice dramatically vary as she enjoys the process of research and experimentation. The things she enjoys making the most are zines, short animations, crochet animals & plants, prints and books. She loves the idea that her work is accessible to all so overall Niamh aims to make work suitable for young audiences, but due to the politics of some of the issues she discusses within her work she occasionally makes more gruesome content aimed at more mature viewers.

Niamh is a Creative based in the South West of England. Her practice mainly comprises of illustration, animation and crochet/yarn projects. Growing up around the ocean and beautiful Dartmoor landscapes inspired her care for conservation of natural environments and wild animal species welfare. Alongside her own lived experiences Niamh’s overactive imagination helps her to create the works she creates.

She is motivated by both bringing about positive change in the world and inspiring happiness in people’s lives. Her main focus area is animal rights and looking at what role humans can play in helping out. Niamh values respect and good intentions towards all, particularly for those who have no voice of their own!

Through imagination and innovation Niamh hopes to make positive change in the world and help protect earth's vast biodiversity.
